Stephanie Sabin, Soprano
"Plaisir d'amour"
A collection of lesser known chansons by very well known composers.
Accompanied by Mary Barranger, pianist.
5:00 pm, Sunday, September 19, 2010
St. Paul’s Cathedral –The Great Hall
2728 Sixth Ave.
San Diego, CA 92103
With frequent performances in
the greater San Diego area, Ms. Stephanie Sabin is quickly making
a name for herself as a soprano with a voice of great beauty and
versatility. A featured performer in many venues, Ms Sabin returned
last fall from Paris, where she performed Mozart's EXSULTATE JUBILATE
at the American Church. The success of this outing prompted an
invitation for her to return for a solo recital, slated for March
2011.
This September 19th, Ms Sabin
presents a collage of french art songs, entitled "Plaisir
d'amour" accompanied with Mary Barranger at the
piano. A romantic and witty perspective on love, Ms Sabin will
transport listeners into the streets of Paris and the countrysides
of Versailles, dreaming of wine, brie and perhaps a chocolate
croissant! Composers include Duparc, Poulenc, Weill, Berlioz and
many others. Please join us, September 19, at St Paul's Cathedral.
