Jae Eun (Jenny) Shin -
21, began studying the flute at the age of 13 in South Korea, and is presently a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in flute performance with Professor Jonathan Keeble. At UIUC she participates in the orchestra and multiple chamber ensembles.

Recently, in 2010, she was the first place winner of the Illinois Flute Society's Solo Artist competition, was a Musical Merit Foundation award winner, and was a masterclass performer at William Bennett's masterclass in Chicago. She was named as one of the Yamaha Young Performing Artists in 2009. Within the university, she was named runner-up for the School of music undergraduate competition and was named the outstanding woodwinds student of the year.

Jenny wants to become, “an avid flutist who participates in orchestra, chamber ensembles and teaching”
