Sarah Davis - is completing her last year at the University
of Southern California Thornton School of Music on full scholarship.
While at Thornton, Sarah will continue to teach harp lessons
at the University while pursuing her Master of Music degree
in Harp Performance. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in
Harp Performance at San Diego State University. Sarah was most
recently awarded as a winner for the Lyon & Healy Awards
international competition at the 2011 American Harp Society
Summer Institute. She will be performing a concert at the prestigious
Lyon & Healy Hall in Chicago during their 2011-2012 concert
series as a part of this award.
Sarah made her debut as a soloist on an orchestra tour to Australia
and New Zealand where she performed Introduction et Allegro
for Solo Harp by Ravel. She has also soloed with the SDSU Symphony,
performing Bading's Concerto for Harp. In addition, she was
recently selected as a guest conductor at a San Diego Symphony
pops concert. Sarah is currently a sub for the San Diego Symphony
and has served as principal harpist of the City Ballet Orchestra,
SDSU Symphony Orchestra, SDSU Symphony, and Civic Youth Orchestra.
She now performs regularly with all of the Thornton ensembles.
